Heirloom Gold Jewelry Recycling
Melt down your existing piece of gold jewelry and transform it into something completely new!

About This Workshop
In this workshop you will be guided through the process of melting down a piece of your own gold jewelry and transforming it into something new and completely unique! You will choose between learning to make wire or sheet metal out of your recycled gold, and from there fabricate a piece of finished jewelry of your own design! This workshop requires you to provide your own gold to start with. Please inquire about purchasing raw gold if you don’t have something you’d like to recycle. This workshop is for up to two people, but you don't have to bring another person if you would rather work one-on-one with me. Please note that the length of time needed to complete this workshop can vary greatly depending on the complexity of your project. Many projects can be completed within the allotted time of this booking, but studio time can be extended if needed. The $500 fee shown here covers the first five hours of studio time - after you book online we will discuss your specific design ideas as well as the amount of gold and time needed for your project. If your design will take longer than five hours to complete I will send you an invoice for additional studio time at $100/hr. No experience required, honestly! As long as you bring a willingness to learn and be guided, I promise you will leave with a beautiful piece of jewelry at the end of our session. While stone setting and engraving are not covered in the workshop, I can offer those services as an add-on if you'd like to incorporate those elements into your design. Lead time for these services is typically 2-4 weeks once you've finished your jewelry. Workshop duration: 5 hrs Availability: Fridays at 9:30am Cost: $500 ($100/hr after 5 hrs if needed) for up to two people
